2. How do I get started with a Paint by Numbers kit?
To get started, simply open your kit and follow these steps:
- Unroll your canvas and set it up on a flat surface.
- Match the paint colors to the numbered sections on the canvas.
- Start painting each section using the corresponding color, one section at a time.
- Take your time—painting by numbers is meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable activity!
3. Do I need any special supplies for Paint by Numbers?
Most Paint by Numbers kits come with everything you need, including:
- A pre-printed canvas with the design and numbered sections
- Paint pots with corresponding numbers
- A set of brushes (small, medium, and large) You may want to have a cup of water and paper towels nearby to clean your brushes between colors.
4. How long will it take to finish my Paint by Numbers painting?

No worries! If you make a mistake, simply let the paint dry, and then use white paint to cover up the area and start again. Since Paint by Numbers is all about following the numbers, it's easy to correct any errors without affecting the overall look of your painting.
8. Can I frame my completed Paint by Numbers painting?
Absolutely! Once you've finished painting, you can frame your artwork just like any other painting. We recommend stretching the canvas over a frame or placing it in a ready-made frame to display your finished masterpiece.
9. Is Paint by Numbers suitable for children?
